Bicycling in Virginia along the Potomac River
This is not a rail trail but a community bike path
in an absolutely beautiful setting. It begins in
the residential neighborhood south of historical Mount
Vernon, goes through the Mount Vernon parking area
and out to the Potomac River. It runs parallel with
the river into historical Alexandria.
This trail is a great place for a fun family day.
