Bicycling Along the La Crosse River Valley
This is a 21.5-mile hard packed crushed stone trail
with endpoints at Sparta and La Crosse. Riding this
trail you will see farmland, bottom land woods and
somewhat degraded prairie along with river marsh and
wetlands. There is a possibility of seeing a wide
variety of wildlife, we saw an otter!
This trail now connects with the Great River Trail; the connection opened late
fall '97.
